Legal Connect is abl to trace individuals in the UK and, where possible, overseas in relation to legal cases.
Tracing Agents
Tracing agents are required to either locate or validate the location of a subject in relation to legal action.
Our tracing agents can locate individuals in the UK, where legally necessary, in relation to legal matters such as the serving of papers. We charge a flat fee for all UK tracing instructions.
UK Fees:
Other than in exceptional circumstances, all UK tracing is charged at a flat fee of £195+VAT. Should a trace not be successful, then no fee is charged.
GDPR and Compliance:
Legal Connect only works with regulated solicitors thus removing a lot of the GDPR and data protection considerations tracing agents may face should they wish to act on behalf of members of the public. The fact that a lawyer requires the location of a subject, due to legal proceedings, provides the necessary “legitimate interest” considerations. Legal Connect also takes additional steps to not only validate further examples of legitimate interest, relative to each case, but that the methods used to locate the subject in question also comply with GDPR regulations.
Overseas Trace:
We can also trace individuals overseas on a case by case basis. The instruction will be charged a bespoke fee so contact us to find out more about how we can help.
Overseas Fees:
Tracing subjects overseas is taken on a case by case basis, where an individual quote will be provided in relation to each individual request. This is to ensure, not just the legal considerations, but also the practical issues of being able to accurately and legally gather the relevant information from locations where access will be different from those in the UK.
